To advance healthcare emergency management through the development and presentation of incident command guidance, educational materials, training, and research by:
- Advocating the widespread adoption and use of HICS by healthcare organizations;
- Promoting and participating in the continued evolution and development of HICS;
- Facilitating a consistent level of quality training and implementation of HICS;
- Estabishing and maintaining a national clearinghouse of HICS information and feedback; and
- Providing HICS training and consulting services to organizations and governmental agencies.
